This programme is limited to 2 delegates due to the intense nature of the course.
At Facethetics Training, we are lucky to have a close relationship with Intravita and Dr Jacques Otto, who is an expert practitioner in PDO threads. We are amongst the select few who sit on his expert panel for training in the PDO thread lift and we are also one of the only training providers to offer training in both the 5 Point and 10 Point Lift techniques developed by Dr Otto.
What areas of the face does PDO Threads & Cogs course cover?
This course teaches delegates how to use PDO threads and cogs for;
- 5 and 10 point cog lift
- jawline lifting and tightening
- mid face/cheek lifting
- neck and submental (double chin) tightening
- smoothing of marionette lines
- smoothing of nasolabial folds
- tear trough and smoothing of fine lines under the eye using eye cannula threads
- 3 insertion points of Cog Lift will be discussed for face
- Cog lift to neck
What type of threads are used for training?
The threads used during training are iLead by IntraVita. Threads and Cogs are constantly being improved and we keep up with what we believe to be the best in the UK. Our tutors were amongst the first practitioners in the country to be trained in PDO threads and cogs and have tried a number of different PDO cogs and threads over the years before selecting this latest brand. The cogs are 6D spiral 21G Cannula Cogs that we use during training. The 6D cogs have teeth every 60 degrees, compared to 4D (90 degrees) and 3D (120 degrees). There are more advanced cogs that we will discuss with you on the day. These latest cannulas glide underneath the skin much easier than previous cannulas used.

Once payment has been made by calling us on 0151 559 0865 or by bank transfer (bank details given upon receipt of application form), then all delegates will receive a comprehensive training manual in the post, which covers everything from different types of PDO threads and their uses to anatomical indications for treatment as well as the procedure itself. Delegates are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the manual before the course.
The training day starts with a theory session, which consists of an interactive presentation from our Head Tutor, Yvonne Senior. The presentation will go into further detail about the material covered in the manual and also allow delegates to ask any questions which may have arisen from their pre-course reading.
Following the theory session, delegates will watch as Yvonne performs a threads procedure on a model. This will include a full consultation with the patient, where Yvonne will analyse and assess the face for treatment. Again, we aim to keep this session interactive and encourage delegates to ask questions during the procedure.
We feel that hands-on experience is absolutely vital during training, which is why we put a large focus on the practical session of the course. Following the live demonstration, delegates will each get the opportunity to carry out a threads procedure on a model. For ease of organisation and to ensure that models are suitable to have treatment, we provide the models for all of our training sessions. During the practical session, delegates will be carefully guided and supervised by Yvonne at all times. All materials used during the practical session are included as part of the course fee.
Additional support and advice
During training we will also offer advice and guidance on matters relating to the threads treatment, such as insurance, paperwork and where to purchase the required threads and equipment for treatments.
Our course is insured with Cosmetic Insure and we can put you in touch with the relevant contacts there should you wish to insured by them. We will also provide examples of paperwork for use in your own clinic, such as consent and consultation forms, as well as patient after care advice and face sheets.
Finally, we can also put you in touch with our threads suppliers, who, we believe offer the best quality threads available. These are the only threads we use both for training and in our own clinic. On the day, you will be able to purchase a starter kit of threads at a discounted rate and we will also provide you with a full price list and contact details to order further threads in the future.
Upon completion of the course, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the treatment. The course goes into a lot of detail and we appreciate that you may have queries or may wish to clarify certain things once you return to your own clinics and start offering the treatment to your patients. Our team can be contacted via email and phone and will always endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
If you wish to bring your first patient you treat with cogs and threads to Facethetics Training, one of our Educators will be happy to supervise you and assist where necessary to help you gain confidence.Enquire Now Book Now
