What is PRP?
PRP is Platelet Rich Plasma. By using plasma taken from the patient’s own body it is possible to repair, rejuvenate and return loss of volume to the skin and restore hair growth.
This course will cover:
PRP for facial rejuvenation
PRP for hair loss/hair restoration
PRP and Fibrin for facial volumising and skin rejuvenation, including the neck
What does PRP involve?
A small sample of the patient’s blood is taken from their arm (you must be trained in phlebotomy/venepuncture to take live bloods) and placed into a centrifuge, which spins it very rapidly to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. The plasma can be injected directly into specific areas of the skin, or skin needling can be used to create tiny punctures across a larger area, to allow the plasma to be absorbed.
What does this combined PRP training course involve?
This NEW combined course will enable those practitioners who meet the entrance criteria to separate platelet rich plasma from blood by using a centrifuge which can then be used for both Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Loss. Pre-course reading will be delivered to you through our interactive e learning platform that will be sent out to each delegate prior to training. There is an assessment that is required to be completed prior to training to ensure all delegates have an underpinning knowledge of the treatment prior to training.
On this course, you will also learn about cocktails that can be added to the PRP, again to assist in hair restoration.
You will also be taught how PRP can be used with Fibrin for facial volumising/skin rejuvenation including the neck. The day will begin with a discussion on the theory content studied, alongside an explanation of the treatment process. Delegates will then consult their models ensuring they are fully informed and consented.
The afternoon will be given over to practical experience whereby delegates will undertake the treatment under the supervision and guidance of our expert instructors. All delegates who meet the entrance criteria will be taught how to both inject the PRP/Fibrin and use a dermal roller to apply the PRP. The roller used is a 0.5mm roller (this does not qualify you in microneedling, however, we do run a separate course should you wish to be trained in this procedure). Delegates with a medical background (ie doctors, dentists and nurses) will also be trained in the injection of PRP - see entry requirements below.
In our training we use gel-free PRP tubes, which is safer for the patient as there is less chance, if any, of an allergic reaction.
The aim of the course is that each delegate will leave confident in their knowledge, skill and ability to perform the treatment successfully in their own practice.
As ever we strive to provide a relaxed safe environment in order to maximise learning within the space of the day.
Following the course, what support will I receive?
We can contact a supplier on your behalf and provide you with a centrifuge on the day that is very robust and of the highest quality. It spins up to 4000 RPM. This will need to be pre arranged prior to training, please contact us to discuss this should you require our assistance.
Once you have introduced the treatment to your clinics, our team will be happy to offer advice and guidance should you have any questions. We can be contacted by phone or email and will ensure a prompt response.Enquire Now Book Now
