Foundation Dermal Fillers Training Course

 This Foundation Day can be completed independently or as part of a combined Botox and Dermal Filler 2 day course with the option of attending a 3rd day Universal Lips.

This one day course plus E-learning (or 2 - 3 days) takes place over a day on site with Facethetics Training. The pre-course reading is delivered in an easy to follow format that is interactive. It is important that for you to be a Facethetics student and eventual practitioner of excellence that you commit to your e-learning and have any questions readily prepared for the practical day. The more prepared you are, the more confident we will be that you will leave us feeling confident and able to deliver a successful and safe dermal filler treatment. The complete course is CPD certified. 

You will be able to treat patients and gain insurance on successful completion of the Foundation day.

Our course structure is designed to help you achieve this in a timely manner within a small group. Prior to your onsite attendance at Facethetics training you will undertake a programme of online e-learning, presented in a easy-to-follow interactive format.

It is important that in order to become a practitioner of excellence you commit to your e-learning and have your questions prepared ready for your onsite practical day. Thorough preparation ensures you will leave us feeling more confident, competent and able to deliver successful dermal filler treatments to satisfied patients.

Our Educators feel strongly that you should be introduced to delivering treatments with an aesthetic cannula from the very beginning, therefore you will be instructed and supported using both needle and cannula techniques for the following indications:

• Nasolabial folds
• Marionette lines
• Zygomatic volume replacement
• Malar volume replacement

An important element is to prepare you to recognise and manage complications.  Our Educators are committed to ensuring you not only have a safe injection technique but that you are prepared to deal with complications when they occur.  The first and most important part of this is to avoid them by having a thorough anatomical knowledge.  The more you are committed to your e-learning, the more you will be prepared with questions for the educators to help them fulfil your personal objectives.

The course takes place over a day on site with Facethetics Training plus comprehensive e-learning that is delivered in an easy-to-follow interactive format.  The e-learning is CPD certified and allows you to study at home, at times convenient to you and gain a good understanding of the treatment before coming to train.  If you are well prepared, you will have an even better experience with your training and take the maximum learning away with you.   There is an assessment within the learning to help consolidate the information you have read.  The day on site with us can be focused on practical training.

When you arrive at Facethetics Training, the morning session will begin with a chat about your worries/concerns regarding the treatment and any specific questions you have.  This is followed by a further discussion of the theory behind dermal filler treatment, including facial anatomy and physiology, different dermal filler products available and injection techniques. Consultation and patient consent is vitally important with all aesthetic treatments and you will be provided with all documentation to assist you within your own practice.

Prior to the afternoon session, a practical demonstration will commence prior to the lunch break.

The afternoon session of the course focuses on our students practical training, allowing all delegates to put into practice the skills that they have learnt and carry out dermal filler treatments on their models under the guidance and supervision of our practitioners.

There is a starter kit available to purchase to help you get ahead with your aesthetic practice.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injected into skin and soft tissue to restore plumpness and volume that is lost through ageing. Dermal fillers can be used to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face, to lift and enhance facial contours and to add plumpness and definition to the lips.

  

What does the dermal filler treatment involve?

Dermal fillers are injected in very small doses just underneath the skin in the area requiring treatment. The results can be seen immediately following treatment as the filler softens or plumps out the sunken area or lines on the face. Some bruising and swelling is to be expected following a dermal filler injection and this will go away naturally in the days following the treatment. Depending on what type of dermal filler has been used, results can last from 4 to 12 months.

FREE observation

If you feel that you need that additional support or life got in the way immediately after training, with adequate notice, we can book you onto the afternoon of another Foundation Filler training course to watch the procedure being done on our models.  We just ask for a £30 deposit.  This can then go on account towards future training, it will not be refunded.  If you do not turn up for the observation day, without 2 weeks notice, the deposit will be lost.
