Non-surgical Blemish Removal provides aesthetic therapists with an extensive new client base but one which is vastly under catered to due to the retraction of funding of these treatments from the majority of NHS practices and the shortage of aesthetic practitioners who specialize in this procedure.
The removal of vascular naevi, pigmentary lesions, keratosis, warts and sebaceous congestion is a lucrative and rewarding treatment. Most current procedures are completed using short wave diathermy or thermolysis (also referred to as advanced electrolysis) potentially blended with the galvanic current (known as the blend method) or using the inclusion Radio Frequency waves. however, this combined unit forms the first accredited qualification to include Blemish Removal by means of cryotherapy to enable the removal of additional lesions such as solar lentignes.
This unit provides you with a uniquely comprehensive training in the specialist genre of corrective skin treatment.
Having completed this unit of study and practical training, you will be able to recognise a broad spectrum of primary and secondary skin lesions, both indicated and contra-indicated to treatments. You will have a comprehensive understanding of the technology and methodology behind thermolysis and cryotherapy blemish removal techniques, together with an appreciation of the modes of tissue destruction in each case.
The extensive practical tuition you will receive, will ensure appropriate treatment protocols are accurate and apply the appropriate thermolysis or cryotherapy procedures for their permanent both followed and adapted according to the indication to achieve safe, accurate and efficient removal of each type of blemish.

- Essential Dermatology for the practice of Non-Surgical Blemish Removal
- Blemish Removal by Advanced Electrolysis - thermolysis and the galvanic blend
- Blemish Removal by Cryotherapy
- Client Selection, Treatment Protocols and Lesion Specific Techniques

There are 4 modules as part of this qualification. Study for all modules should take a minimum of 12 - 20 hours.
Each module of study takes 3 - 5 hours to complete individually.
This time includes note taking, question and answer and consolidation exercises.

Tuition Days are held over 2 consecutive and 2 non-consecutive days and include practical training, assessment and mock exams
Case Studies - All lesions.
The Final exam is sat at our centre - it is a 45 minute exam.
