This award is designed to equip all skin health practitioners with in-depth knowledge and understanding of skin diagnosis not only through well informed visual diagnostics, but also vitally by looking at the intrinsic and extrinsic elements which influence the condition and appearance of our skin. This qualification is a key route to safe and effective clinical skin treatment and advanced assessment of the aesthetic client.
You will be able to recognise skin dysfunction, disorder and disease by having a superior knowledge of cosmetic dermatology. You will be able to offer extensive treatment programmes leading to higher retail sales, better results and consequently, greater client satisfaction and retention.

To establish clear protocols and procedures for the consultation and assessment of a clients skin.
To enable accurate interpretation of consultation and assessment indications

To develop skills in treatment programme planning and product prescription.

This Award is accredited by CIBTAC which is one of the most well established UK International Awarding Bodies, specialising in high quality beauty therapy and aesthetic education and training. All our Level 4 courses sit on the OFQUAL Framework which is the overriding governing body for UK qualifications.

This qualification is delivered through an e learning portal along with a supporting manual. Your manual follows the e learning and gives plenty of space for your to make notes as you learn. The e learning consists of video tutorials that sometimes follow slide content, these videos substantially embellish the subject. You are able to work at a pace that suits your personal situation. You are able to start and stop your learning at any time, day or night.
There will be tasks given throughout the completion of this unit and your course folder will be part of your portfolio that is to be presented to the CIBTAC examiner at the end of this award.
There will be multiple choice tests throughout your home learning and portfolio completion. Alongside the e learning, the following is included for this award.
- One day practical workshop that will take place at our training centre
- Two case studies to be carried out in your own environment, allow 3 hours per case study
- Completion of Assessment Workbook
- Final exam that will take place at our training centre
