Raymond Chari is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based at Kings Mill Hospital in Nottinghamshire. With a medical career spanning 30 years, Ray is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon, specialising in lower limb reconstruction. He has worked with a number of new surgical techniques and also developed his own techniques within this area.
Throughout his career, Ray has worked closely with medical students and junior doctors as a teacher and mentor, and now, as a Royal College tutor, he is actively involved in the Trent School of Surgery at Deanery level. Ray is also the Postgraduate Dean for Kings Mill Hospital, which means that he is regularly teaching, assessing, shortlisting and interviewing postgraduate students. He has also set up various programmes and revision courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate students within Orthopaedics.
Ray is especially passionate about research and has conducted various research papers during his career as well as contributing to a number of industry publications and journals. He has also presented his studies at both national and international level, speaking at conferences and symposiums around the world in countries such as Finland, Italy and the USA. Ray is fully trained to advanced level in injectable aesthetics.
